This charming and tastefully decorated apartment occupies the ground floor of the impressive Chalet Volets Bleus. This architect designed chalet was built 10 yrs ago for the current owners and faces south across the valley and Mont Chery. The apartment is fully self contained and consists of: a bedroom with a double bed; a very light living room with a kitchen range at one end, and French windows looking south onto the front garden and the valley beyond; and a shower room. Also on the ground floor is a large cave.

Bedroom: Double bed, lighting is via bedside table lamps, switches on the wall. Clothes storage: chest of drawers, Shaker style pegs on the wall. There is a large cupboard in the living room which can also store clothes.

Shower room: Shower, WC, washbasin and a large towel radiator

Living Room: A delightfully light room furnished with a large comfortable Conran sofa, small table and chairs, cd player, lcd tv and dvd player

Kitchen: Oven, hob, fridge, sink, large store cupboard for food and clothing, kettle, cafetiere, plates, mugs, cutlery.

Cave: Washing machine, tumble dryer, spare fridge, hoover, iron, ironing board. This is a large room and is a good place to park skis, wet boots and clothing to drain.

Garden: South facing deck (chairs in the cave) looking out onto a mature garden, creating a secluded sun trap at any time of the year

The chalet is situated in the Char Rond area of Les Gets, on the road up to the school. In winter access to and from the piste down to the village takes about 5min of walking and ski poling; after a snow fall it can be ski-in/ski-out. The bus stop for the free shuttle to the lifts is 100m away. In summer the chalet is 300m from the swimming lake and access to the footpaths up to Chavannes

In winter, a 5 min walking/ski-shuffling shortcut from the nearest corner up the Chavannes road through to the Gibannaz road (exiting where our chalet Manon is located) offers the most immediate access to and from the Chavannes piste.

Alternatively, a free shuttle bus stops on the Chavannes road a few mins walk from the chalet for a brief ride either down into Les Gets or up to the Les Folliets chair-lift, giving access to the rest of the Portes du Soleil region.

In summer, the deck and small grassed area allow plenty of space for outdoor dining and relaxing and children may play safely, as the chalet is at the end of a quiet cul de sac. The outdoor furniture includes a table, 4 wicker chairs and 4 wooden chairs and 2 sun loungers and a BBQ.

There is also a dartboard, boules set, cricket set, table tennis table with bats (bring your own supply of balls as they tend to get lost!) and badminton racquets (bring your own shuttlecocks). There is a volleyball/badminton net in the park near the swimming lake, which is just a 15 min walk away via the shortcut mentioned above. A free shuttle bus also runs up and down the Chavannes road in summer.
